PrincessClevage 175 Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Is there a way to adjust the amount of Ram that Emby Server or Emby Theatre uses? My host has 24GB of Ram and 14GB generally does nothing.
PrincessClevage 175 Posted May 31, 2017 Author Posted May 31, 2017 (edited) You're saying you want it to use more RAM?correct, I have 14GB doing nothing. Ram is cheap these days and usually a quick boost to app cache etc. I'm sure this is not for everyone but if it is simple as modifying a config file etc to adjust usage ? PrincessClevage 175 Posted May 31, 2017 Author Posted May 31, 2017 At the moment no, there aren't any.:-(
mastrmind11 722 Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 :-( If you're really dying to do something w/ the free RAM, create a RAM Disk and point your cache location to it in Emby. However, RAM is volatile so you'll lose your cache whenever the PC restarts. https://www.tekrevue.com/tip/create-10-gbs-ram-disk-windows/

(RAM disk is software driven disk= extra cpu cycles) . Edited May 31, 2017 by PrincessClevage
