Closed captions/subtitles not working with Emby Theater W10 store app.

From what I can determine, closed captions/subtitles are not available using Emby Theater W10 store app.   I am using HDHomeRun Extend tuner to stream live TV.  Subtitles from live TV recordings are not available either.  Option to turn subtitles on or off is not available in W10 Emby Theater app.

 

If I use the HDHomeRun Store app on any/same W10 device, I can toggle subtitles on and off and see them when set to on.  So subtitles available on HDHomeRun apps.

 

Under Settings/General I have "Always play subtitles" selected.  No difference with any other available settings.  No subtitles appear.

 

For a recorded show from tuner,  I can download subtitles externally and then turn them on or off.  They play when on.  But since commercials present, sync is all messed up.  So subtitle functionality is built into Emby Theater, but is just not available from HDHomeRun tuner streams.  Bug?  Need way to turn subtitles on if not loaded externally.  They are there!  Just can't turn them on.

 

I can also view same station through browser via Emby Connect and same result.  No subtitles but on HDHomeRun app.

 

Having subtitles is a big deal for me, and many others, since hearing not so good anymore.
