Would it be possible to implement smart/auto playlist based on id3 tags? 

 

I would also love to see the years and rating be added to the menu selection (... songs, genres, search), that's probably a quicker thing to do than smart playlist.

 

Also, it would be great to be able to modify rating in id3 from the player screen.

Smart playlists are planned for a future release, yes.
