freqz 0 Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 I've been trying everything and I just cannot get this to go away. If I'm using Emby Theater or going to http://app.emby.media/home.html when I try to watch live tv I get freezing and pixelation on screen and with audio. I've playing with all the settings read through all the threads and have tried everything I could think of. Finally I have broken down to asking for help with this. I also get the same freezing and pixelation during any recordings that I have set up directly through emby. My current setup is: Intel Core i7 4770K 16 Gig memory Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 Windows 10 Pro HDHomeRun Prime Model: HDHR3-CC Firmware: 20170512beta1 Emby: Version 3.2.17.15 beta All Drivers / Software are up to date. As a side note, I can watch Live TV on the HDHomeRun App without any issues at all which leads me to think there is something ( probably simple ) that is causing emby to just not play right. I have tried each of the 4 hardware accelerations and none and Transcoding thread count from auto to max to 1 and there is no difference at all. Any Suggestions ? ffmpeg-directstream.txt ffmpegTranscode.txt ServerLog.txt
freqz 0 Posted May 26, 2017 Author Posted May 26, 2017 Thank you, It's driving me nuts. I just downloaded the latest ffmpeg driver 20170525-b946bd8 64-bit and installed that and same issues. And I always restart the server after every change I make.
freqz 0 Posted May 27, 2017 Author Posted May 27, 2017 Just wondering if anyone had a chance yet to take a look and offer any initial suggestions ?
freqz 0 Posted May 28, 2017 Author Posted May 28, 2017 Hate to keep asking but have you had a chance to look at the logs? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
Luke 42086 Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Yes we are looking into it. Thank you for your patience.
freqz 0 Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 Luke, I think I stumbled onto something and all appears to be fix. I've been logging into emby by browser at https://emby.media/ Probably a good 8 months or so, Maybe longer Well today I was tired of the poor recordings so I thought I'd hook back NextPvr. Being it was already a plug in I clicked on it and got the need to log in pop up. Thought I was already logged in. Came here did a quick search and read to use the Direct IP address. so I went back to the dashboard and clicked on the link "In-Home (LAN) access:" opened up a new tab and logged in. So I went back to plugins ( and saw there was an update) I want to say it was mediabrowser or media something. So I clicked it and then notice I only had 2 plugins and this was not one of them. Update finished, and I restarted the server. Watched some live TV. No freezing or pixelation. Recorded 2 shows at once, and live tv. No issues at all. Could this of been the problem ? logging in by IP handles updates differently ? Shouldn't the updates Emby receives of handled this file already ?
Luke 42086 Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 They should be the same. The difference is probably more associated with the server release.
freqz 0 Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 I'm running Version 3.2.19.0 So I don't know if the update was just by chance but nothing on my system change and nothing else was updated. It was just that plugin updated that does not even show in the plugins if that makes sense
