Keylonta 0 Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Hey, I'm troubleshooting a sleep issue I'm having with Win7. I noticed that when the issue occurred, Emby was displaying in the "Other Libraries" section of WMP. I had to restore my C drive from a backup which has fixed the sleep issue and Emby is no longer displaying in the "Other Libraries" section. The issue started around the time Emby server prompted me to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) -14.0.23026. I've been trying to work out what would have caused Emby to display in the "Other Libraries" section, any ideas?
Solution Luke 42086 Posted May 22, 2017 Solution Posted May 22, 2017 It's normal. Emby Server is a Dlna Server, and Windows Media Player supports browsing Dlna content. Does that answer your question? 1
Keylonta 0 Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 Kind of, but what is causing it to sometimes display in the "Other Libraries" section, and other times not display like in the above image?
Keylonta 0 Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 I just updated my VGA driver and restarted my PC, then launched WMP, and Emby was displaying in the "Other Libraries" section (see image) for a few minutes, then I restarted WMP and it disappeared again. Do you know why it's doing this? Does Emby have sharing settings?
Luke 42086 Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 It generally should always be there. Sometimes it may just take windows media player a little extra time to detect it. You can turn the dlna server off under emby server dlna settings.
