Solution ebr 16169 Posted May 25, 2017 Solution Posted May 25, 2017 Same machine yes, different machine no. Then this is almost certainly a firewall or other network configuration issue. Until you can get the basic communications going, none of the apps will work. One thing to check is to be sure your network on the server machine hasn't been classified as "Public". 1
Luke 42077 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Does your machine have an ipv4 address? If yes, can you try entering that manually into the Roku app? Let us know if that helps. Thanks !
Thecrewof5 0 Posted May 25, 2017 Author Posted May 25, 2017 Yes, tried that and it just hangs as if it's loading. I think it may be my firewall
Luke 42077 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Are you able to connect from other devices, like for example the web app using a smart phone?
Luke 42077 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Ok, that at least tells us something. I would suggest checking out our Connection Troubleshooter. Please try the steps listed there and let us know exactly what succeeds and what fails. Thanks !
