watching a show while it is recording

is it possible to watch a show while it is recording?  I cant seem to get it to happen on my Emby.

 Basically when I try to watch a video that is still recording it does the little circular loading thing across the screen and just spins and the video never plays. I can back out and watch a recorded video or live tv with no problems but when I go back to the currently recording video it does the same thing and does not load.

How are you finding the in-progress recording to try and start playing it?

@@roberthleeii, try selecting mkv as your recording format. There is currently a known issue with mp4 that prevents them from being watchable in-progress. Let us know if this helps. Thanks !
