boe 0 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Hello, I'm sure it is staring me in the face but I have a folder called movies with subfolders call action, scifi, comedy... and the movies are in those individual folders on my server. Currently I'm just seeing all my movies as one big group. Where do I select the categories?
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 If you have your movies added as the media folder, you'll just get that grouping. In MBT, you can click on Movies and then Genres at the top to see things broken into different genres though. If you want each folder to show, you need to assign each one to your Media Browser Library individually. These will become Media Folders. You can see your Media Folders in MBT by clicking on Collections in the main screen. See this guide on setting up your Media Library: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/692-mb3-server-setup-and-configuration/&do=findComment&comment=24074
AdrianW 1058 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 You can get to your original folders by starting at "Collections" instead of :"Movies" when you're browsing. But for genres you're probably best just using the built in Genres view - which will use the genres from the metadata for each movie.
boe 0 Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 Thanks! I'll play around with it and come back if my stupidity and ignorance prevent me from making the change to genre view.
