nicodelux 4 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Hi @ all I see on the dashboard there is a new update 3.2.16.0 but when I try to update it I receve this answer from prompt : First of all I do a apt update then after : apt install emby-serverReading package lists... DoneBuilding dependency treeReading state information... Doneemby-server is already the newest version (3.2.15.0-31.1).
hurricanehrndz 149 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Yes, the build service is currently down. There will be no new builds until is back up. Thank you for your feedback Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
Jdiesel 1431 Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 (edited) You can manually update Emby Server by using the steps I've listed in the post. Just replace the link with the most recent beta. I am currently running 3.2.16.2 with no issues on Ubuntu 16.04. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/45790-emby-server-saying-its-not-up-to-date-yet-apt-says-otherwise/?p=432891 Edited May 14, 2017 by Jdiesel
A_Aron 1 Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 If we're in a docker container, should we just wait?

clarkss12 304 Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 The answer has been given "the build service is currently down. There will be no new builds until is back up" You have to wait or you can upgrade emby manually Envoyé de mon ASUS_X008D en utilisant Tapatalk The server is up. 1
hurricanehrndz 149 Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Yes it is, but unfortunately a manual build now needs to be carried out. To say the least, this is currently being worked on, your patience is greatly appreciated. Please bare in mind that we are attempting to be as efficient and as responsive as possible, but that we are powered by volunteers who have families, sleep and might not live in the same timezone as yourself. 2
PremiumRed 69 Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Hi, I couldnt get it to manually install... I got to sudo mc and thats it... do the files have to be copied 1 by 1..?
Luke 42077 Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Hi, I couldnt get it to manually install... I got to sudo mc and thats it... do the files have to be copied 1 by 1..? Hi, best thing to do is just be patient and wait for it to be published via our build service. Thanks ! 1
hurricanehrndz 149 Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 The repository should now be uptodate: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/emby/xUbuntu_16.04/all/ 2
embybackup 0 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 hmm, okay seems still not to be uptodate in ubuntu repository (16.04 LTS)
Luke 42077 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 hmm, okay seems still not to be uptodate in ubuntu repository (16.04 LTS) yes it sure is. 3.2.17 is up: https://build.opensuse.org/package/binaries/home:emby/emby-server?repository=xUbuntu_16.04
embybackup 0 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Okay, in that case I don't get it. Emby says:Version 3.2.15.0 Eine neue Version des Emby Servers ist verfügbar! Version 3.2.17.0 ist jetzt bereit zum download. but this happens... server@samba:~$ sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade[sudo] password for server:Ign:1 http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/emby/xUbuntu_16.04 InRelease Hit:2 http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/emby/xUbuntu_16.04 Release Hit:3 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-security InRelease Hit:4 http://ppa.launchpad.net/jonathonf/ffmpeg-3/ubuntu xenial InRelease Hit:6 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial InRelease Hit:7 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates InRelease Hit:8 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-backports InRelease Reading package lists... nicodelux 4 Posted May 17, 2017 Author Posted May 17, 2017 This way worked for me yesterday : apt update then apt upgrade For stable release : wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/emby/xUbuntu_16.04/all/emby-server_3.2.17.0-35.1_all.deb dpkg -i emby-server_3.2.17.0-35.1_all.deb Since yesterday I see that the repository has been modified. Maybe it works normaly today Envoyé de mon ASUS_X008D en utilisant Tapatalk
PremiumRed 69 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Same issue again... Version 3.2.17.1 beta A new version of Emby Server is available! Version 3.2.17.4 is now available for download. But it says that I have the most recent version
Luke 42077 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Same issue again... Version 3.2.17.1 beta A new version of Emby Server is available! Version 3.2.17.4 is now available for download. But it says that I have the most recent version No that's different. You are on the beta channel and the beta builds are not publishing right now because we are re-working a few things. Thank you for being a beta tester.
PremiumRed 69 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 If I wanted to update to the latest, is there another way to do it?
Luke 42077 Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Not that we have documented. I would just wait. The beta differences are minor right now.
Luke 42077 Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 beta builds are slowing coming back online, thanks.
isamudaison 12 Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 I'm seeing this, too: I'm not on the beta channel, in the server dashboard it says: Version 3.2.15.0 A new version of Emby Server is available! Version 3.2.17.0 is now available for download. However, doing an apt update & apt upgrade, no emby upgrade... should I do a manual update to get it back into proper 'sync' or should I wait for the build servers to get completely up to date?
hurricanehrndz 149 Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 What distro are you on? The severs are backup and running. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
