Some default langage questions?

Hello,

for external subtitles to makesubtitles default you add .default before .str

but i have a couple of movies which have dual audio, hindi and english, and hindi is the default audio, how can i change it? also with subtitles they have 2 subtitles, but how can i select default?

And for movie trailers, they are loading great, its a great feature, i can select the language, but is there a way to tell the plugin to search for certain language + subtitles? for example english audio + spanish subtitles, then if not found, search for spanish trailers but in "latin", and for final round if neither above found, search for plan english?

Also i see the trailers come up magically the next day in my movies, but does anyone know exactly how much time it takes the server to find the trailer?  i also see for example to forward a movie, the server show thumbnails of next and past scenes, but at first it doesnt, it takes time, how does the server works?

Avidemux lets you manage multiple audio tracks and subtitles.

I never tried to change which is default vs "secondary", I usually lose the unneeded one.

Even though program is named AVIdemux, it works with any video file you throw at it, just make sure you save the modified version to your preferred format

Hope this helps

Sorry for my ignorance, but how does it work? Its a windows based program? so i need to download the movie to my pc and then modify it and upload to the server? or can it be installed in the server? or as a plugin?

Thank you

Yes, it's Linux, BSD, Mac OS X and Windows compatible.

If your movies are on the server, you might as well install avidemux on the server, avoiding the extra steps of downloading and uploading back the modified movie file. Its a pretty straightforward program, not pretty but one of the more powerful of its kind, and its totally free. You can youtube "avidemux how to remove unwanted audio tracks" (or subtitles).

Hints:

1) for audio tracks, from the top menu, hit Audio, then select track

2) for subtitles, it's Video, then filters

Sometime, language is specified in audio or sub tracks, but sometime, its just #1 and # 2, so choose wisely...

Don't forget to set the output format you prefer (mp4, mkv), as it default's to AVI.

It can also do many other thing, a true must-have tool for anyone with a video collection
