Crestj 68 Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Emby Server: v3.2.15.0 ET Store: v1.1.112.0 When I am offline and open the app I am presented with a "Select Server" option to connect to my server or goto "Downloaded Media". I click "Downloaded Media" and it shows me the sync'd offline episodes. These are all sync'd properly as I can see them through explorer. If I click on any of them I am returned to the "Select Server" screen. If there is a network connection and I enter "Downloaded Media" I can browse and watch all the media without issue.
Crestj 68 Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 It also appears that syncing has stopped as the server just shows ready to transfer and queued for all the episodes even though the device is on and connected.
aptalca 71 Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Mine is not syncing either. Stuck on ready to transfer. Waited for hours but no activity while on wifi and local
Luke 42078 Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 An update will be going out to resolve this, thanks guys. 1
Crestj 68 Posted May 10, 2017 Author Posted May 10, 2017 Can you give us the expected version of this update so we can tell if we've got it? I got v1.1.113.0 yesterday but I guess that's not it.
Crestj 68 Posted May 15, 2017 Author Posted May 15, 2017 Still unable to sync or browse old downloaded media offline. Was this fixed?
aptalca 71 Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Still not working for me either. Although I'm not in the latest server version yet (I hear docker is currently a version behind due to issues with the build server)
Crestj 68 Posted May 16, 2017 Author Posted May 16, 2017 Just updated again to version 1.1.120.0 with Server 3.2.17.0. Open the Emby app and it knows it has episodes to sync and the server also shows the same but nothing ever starts syncing.
Luke 42078 Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Apologies for the delay. We'll get an update out to resolve this. Thanks.
aptalca 71 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 With the latest update, it is now transferring :-) Thanks so much PS. Minor annoyance, transfer gauge remains at 0% throughout in both the app and the server interface until completed.
Crestj 68 Posted May 17, 2017 Author Posted May 17, 2017 Yep all syncing fine now. Will report back if they are playable offline or if the issue where you end up at the select server screen comes back.
Crestj 68 Posted May 19, 2017 Author Posted May 19, 2017 Sadly having tried playing the offline media with no network it still returns to the select server screen instead of entering the episode details. Oddly when I tried this when using airplane mode it worked but when the WiFi is on and networks are available, but not connected, it shows this error.
Luke 42078 Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 @@Crestj i'm trying to reproduce this but it seems to be working OK for me. Are you saying this happens from the latest offline media screen, or from drilling down the library, or both? Is it with all series or only certain series? Thanks.
Crestj 68 Posted May 21, 2017 Author Posted May 21, 2017 When I open Emby offline and select Downloaded Media I get the "Latest Offline Videos" screen. Any episode I select here will exhibit the issue described. I have tried the following TV Series and test movies: Marvel Agents of Shield Big Bang Theory Last Week Tonight with John Oliver Logan Passengers The Great Wall (just fake videos for test use) I've attached a video of the issue in action, hope it explains things, the stupid auto focus on the video was having trouble with the reflection but it gives you an idea. (rename to .mp4) video.txt
Crestj 68 Posted May 21, 2017 Author Posted May 21, 2017 Tv episodes too, I think it's anything I sync but just no tv episodes unseen at the end moment so then video only shows 3 movies. All syncs are original, not Transcoded, if that makes a difference.
Luke 42078 Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 @@Crestj there will be an update tomorrow that may improve this for you although I am still unable to reproduce it. Thanks.
Crestj 68 Posted June 1, 2017 Author Posted June 1, 2017 Thanks, I'll test it out and hopefully all is well.
Luke 42078 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 @@Crestj are you signing in with Emby Connect or with local Emby server credentials?
Luke 42078 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 The reason I ask is because there is a scenario I was able to reproduce with Emby Connect, and an app update is going out to resolve that. Thanks.
Crestj 68 Posted June 7, 2017 Author Posted June 7, 2017 I think I originally logged in as Emby Connect but not sure. I've only had a chance to test it once but it worked. Thanks for the help!
Crestj 68 Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 Couple of days testing and issue appears to have gone! Great stuff. BTW is resume supposed to work offline? Mine does not.
