MPC-HC external player settings

Hello,

since yesterday Emby Theatre stopped using madVR for rendering my videos.

I know MPV is supposed to be as good and I don't say I'm not willing to try but to make the transition I would like to use MPC-HC as external player with madVR for now and then.

External players are easily switched on and off so it's also a good reference to compare quality when playing with various MPV options.

Now since I've been using Emby Theatre for a while now I've forgot all the settings I needed to change in MPC-HC to play nice with Emby.

So I tought to start a new topic to gather all interesting settings and options in one place regarding MPC-HC as an external player.

For now I get MPC-HC to open fullscreen with Theatre minimized and resume possibility but when I press "STOP" on my remote the movie stops but MPC-HC doesn't quit and Theatre stays minimized.

Anyone with a solution for this?

Ans as I said any interesting settings are welcome.

For now I'm using these command line options in Theatre External Player configuration:

{path}

/start

{ms}

/fullscreen

/play

/close

Thanks in advance!

Thanks @@Luke, I would love to keep using Theatre.

I just tried Emby for Kodi with DSPlayer (and madVR) and although I got everything working, I just don't like the look and feel of Kodi ...

Thanks @@Luke, I just updated to v2.6.7 and now my problem is partially fixed.

When I press STOP on my remote MPC-HC doesn't quit but when I Alt-X it closes and now Theatre comes back fullscreen.

Anyone with a solution for my STOP problem with MPC-HC?

No, been like that since Theatre started using external players. I have to use the 'exit' button on my remote to return to the home screen.

Try going into Options - Keys and mapping the stop command to Alt-X

Yea, to clarify what caveman456 said - go into the MPC-HC keyboard shortcut options.  Use the same key combo for the exit command as you currently have for the stop command.  That way when you hit stop, it also triggers the exit.
