khodges747 55 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Hi guys, The latest version of Theater (2.6.4, which I didn't ask for and was installed w/o my permission) does not shut down completely using the Windows 10 shortcut keys Alt-F4. I have to shut it down by either clicking on the X, which works fine but is not convenient for my HTPC run with a remote, or by right clicking on the window remnant left over after Alt-F4.

khodges747 55 Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 Same problem in 2.6.5, at least on one machine (Win X). Haven't checked my other machine yet.
blade005 185 Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) Same problem in 2.6.5, at least on one machine (Win X). Haven't checked my other machine yet. @@khodges747, Same here on both a Win7 and Win10 machine. Intermittent success with Emby.Theater.exe process being close properly on exit. @@Luke Emby.Theater.exe in Version 2.6.50 is only exiting and closing the process in Task Manager about 50% of the time. Just did a quick Open and Close of ET Desktop ten (10) times and had five (5) that successfully closed and five (5) that did not. Can't start it up again until you grab a keyboard, open the Task Manager and END PROCESS on the Emby.Theater.exe process that hung up on exit. Saw the same intermittent behavior whether using a remote and the EXIT OSD request or using a mouse and selecting the X in upper right corner of ET. UPDATE / EDIT: @@Luke, Realized after posting that @@khodges747 may be experiencing a different issue of getting ET to close based on shortcut keys. Apologies. Edited May 8, 2017 by blade005
