Erik 124 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Hello, When playing a movie, any time I FF or RW or pause then play i get an audio static burst type sound. @@Luke I PM'd you a video of this happening. Thanks, Erik
Luke 42078 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Is this still happening on 2.6.5? What are your audio settings?
Erik 124 Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 (edited) @@Luke Hi, yes still happening on 2.6.5 PC setting of stereo (it's just HTPC with GT730->HDMI->Sony Bravia) ET Audio setting of: Stereo No passthrough boxes selected No Dynamic range Tried Yes and No for exclusive audio - no difference However, with testing I just finished it seems isolated to files that have a 7.1 DTS-HD audio track and it's obviously having to mix (or whatever the proper term is) down to stereo. If I play media with 5.1 DTS (non HD) or less it doesn't happen. I can screenshot the media info for the file I send you a video for if that helps. Erik Edited May 7, 2017 by Erik
Luke 42078 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Can you download mpv from here: https://mpv.srsfckn.biz/ You can launch it and drag a file into it to test. See if it happens with mpv standalone. thanks.
Erik 124 Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 (edited) Sorry for the delay @@Luke I downloaded the 64-bit version. Dropped the same file in and it plays and seeks and FF/RW and pause/play perfectly. No audio bursts at all. So must be something within ET. Let me know if you need any other info/testing. Thanks again Edited May 7, 2017 by Erik
