Edit what the Search function Searches for

I have emby installed on my FreeNAS box

Phenom II X6 1045T

8 Gigs of RAM

Its running 2 7200 RPM drives in RAID 1 i can write files around 80 to 90 megaBYTES per second so i dont think its hardware related.

My Movie Library is around 300 Movies

 

I have been using it since it was called Media Browser and have upgraded the server whenever a new upgrade was available.

I have nuked the install and started from scratch a few times 

 

 

When searching for Movies using emby in the web browser on my phone the search takes FOREVER and makes the feature unusable for me... 

 

im wondering if its slow because it happens to search a stuff like actor names and tv shows and tv guide stuff

 

Is there a way to make the search function ONLY search through my movies in order to make the searching fast?

In the latest release of emby server your movies library will have a search tab that allows you to search within just that library.

Would it be worth adding, if possible some of those messages that pop up when you hover over stuff ? In this case 'Search' would expand to 'TV series search' or 'Movie search' or whatever and the search icon would expand to 'global search' or whatever.
