gleep52 17 Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 The movie usually starts playback ok, but then craps out. Either it will sit and spin until I stop and resume, or it will start playing the video at 4x speed while the audio remains at 1x speed. I've only had the issue with this one movie. The file plays back fine in VLC on my PC, and works in the web browser side of things fine too. I thought it was just our nVidia shield that was messed up, but tonight we tried it on the Apple TV as well and it did the same speed up video but not audio hiccup. Even restarting the app doesn't fix it after it starts - I have to reboot the device to get it to play normal again for a little bit more. For this one movie I let my kids use Plex since it plays back fine in that on the nVidia Shield and Apple TV. But I'd like it to all work in Emby, so I'm writing this. I've attached my server log. It was the movie sing.mkv all throughout the evening. User was Erik every time. I created a handbrake copy of sing for my kids' ipads and it plays that copy fine... Thoughts? server-63629426943.txt
Luke 42083 Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Around what time of day did you attempt to play on each? thanks.
gleep52 17 Posted May 4, 2017 Author Posted May 4, 2017 I think it was around 6:40ish on the Apple TV. I wasn't home today when it happened on the Shield though. It might not have even happened today on the Shield since they know not to use Emby for it now. I think this log is only for today... can you see the Apple TV around 6:40ish?
Luke 42083 Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 To be honest i'm having trouble following it because there's a lot of playback sessions in here. Normally that's not a problem but all apple devices have similar user agents so it's difficult to differentiate. Can you do a new log that contains only the relevant devices? Additionally, if any ffmpeg logs were created for the playback sessions, please make sure to attach those too. Thanks !
