Metadata, nfo file and images

Hello,

It might be something from an older release but I found out that all movies/TV Show I add for quite some time now doesn't have any metadata folder, or backdrop images, folder image, disc image (etc.) or nfo file in the media folder. I do have everything into emby, but there's nothing where to file is like older media already present. I do have generate nfo file checked.

Thank you

You need to click on each library to discover the settings you are looking for.  Dashboard-Library-select each library

I'm not sure what you mean. I have all of the metadata and images for my new medias, but they seems to be stores somewhere else. Nothing changed in my configuration and I see "generate NFO" activated and all of the other option for backdrop and all.

The thing is in the media folder on the hdd, there is no nfo file, backdrop or metadata folder like in the past (either for series or movies). I still have metadata and all of that in emby, it just seems to be stored somewhere else.

Is this box checked in each of your Libraries?

yes, also if I put custom one myself in the folder, they are used

Did you just enable that setting?  The setting only applies to new media, all existing media has to be refreshed to get metadata stored with media.

No it was already enabled, I've checked all of the settings on the server many times in the past month to see if there's something I'm missing

How about this setting?

They aren't hidden, they are simply not there. Other metadata folder I see they are hidden (older one). Like I said, there's no metadata at all saved on the media folder. I'm going to try to reinstall the server

Then I would check your permissions.  Perhaps the server is not able to save to those locations.

I would restart your server, Refresh (anything), and post your server log.

The server is restarted nearly daily, beeing on the dev channel, there's lot of updates.

As for permission, not an issue since I can write with that user in those folder. It's running as local admin but I did check anyway, even with everyone permission did not work. I'll check tonight if server reinstallation solve the issue.
