no live tv

Hi running emby on my smart samsung tv but cant get live tv.the only way I can use the live tv is to add channels to favourites there is no live tv section on folders any help please

Okay, then you should have the Orsay app loaded from an IP address then ?

 

Do you know what version of the app you loaded?  Is it 2.2.3?  It should display the version in the lower left corner when the splash screen pops up (or you can also get it from the about screen from settings).

 

Also, you need to set up LiveTV in the server first if you haven't already

Live tv is working on my roku stick in bedroom thats where I add the channels to the favourite folder to b able to watch then on tv

Ok, do you have the latest stable version 2.2.2 or the beta 2.2.3?  Because I believe the LiveTV wasn't added in 2.2.2

I am missing some channels on my samsung smart tv but all of the same channels r there on my emby on the phone

The problem is that LiveTV is an incomplete feature on this version of the app, this is why you had to update to the Beta version of the app to be able to use it at all.

 

The next problem is that there is no further development of the version occurring aside from selected bugs in the release version.  Unfortunately this does not include LiveTV development as it was agreed to be omitted from the release version.

 

Sorry about that.

 

There may one day be an Orsay based version of the app based on Emby Theatre which could be installed on your model.  Whether this actually becomes available and the timing is of course always unknown and may still be some time away if at all.
