j0nsemby 2 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 (edited) Hello, I'm trying to decide if I should switch from Plex to Emby, and one of my main items needed is to ensure Emby works for my Roku devices. Currently I'm trying to test my Roku Stuck with the latest firmware with the Emby Beta software and I receive "An unexpected problem (but not a server timeout or HTTP error) has been detected". The same device works for Plex and, the old Emby channel works fine, but the new one does not. Attached is the recent ffmpeg logs. Before pulling the trigger on Premier I'd like to ensure everything works. I know the software is Beta, but still... I have an i7-2600K @ 3.4 Ghz and 8 GB of memory on Windows 2016. Thanks! ffmpeg-transcode-0d88ae0e-6a49-4eca-8dc1-315786759093.txt ffmpeg-transcode-89e5d0b9-db2b-4937-b34e-4fb456e57047.txt Edited May 3, 2017 by j0nsemby
Solution j0nsemby 2 Posted May 3, 2017 Author Solution Posted May 3, 2017 Scratch that / delete this thread, looks like the Intel transcoding experimental got set by default... Odd the new Beta app won't work with it on but the old app does. 1
Luke 42078 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 hi @@j0nsemby, QSV is actually not enabled by default. I would make sure to disable it though because it appears that your hardware either does not support it or is not configured for it. The reason why it's working in the old app is probably because it wasn't transcoding. Without a log from it that's by best guess. Let us know if this helps. Thanks !
