Check for application updates failed.

For the past couple of days, I am getting the error: "Check for application updates failed." and I am not sure why.

 

Can anyone please assist?

Your machine is having trouble contacting github.com where the updates are located. I would suggest making sure the machine has an active internet connection. If the issue persists, then I would just wait until tomorrow, perhaps something is happening on the github side. Let us know if this helps. thanks !
