Adjusting the media information

Hello,

 

I have a lot of TV shows that have the wrong information - e.g. The Americans, Archer, Castle, Chaos... that have the wrong info or no info.    I'm guessing that is from the server but not sure as I know nothing about Media Browser.   Is that because Theater is beta or because of something in server?

Hi, have a look through the tutorials section. Here is one below that will show you how to edit metadata and correct wrong/missing information.

Thanks - I've adjusted the media id for imdb and tvdb (not sure if I need to do both.  It then saved and did  a refresh.  It now show the right information but it doesn't have any of my episode tab button so I can select an episode and play.   Not sure what I forgot to adjust.

There are some rules so the server can find what it is looking for. These include directory structures and filenaming structures.

Thanks - I have the file structure shown at the top.  Before I adjust the TVDB and IMDB IDs it did have the episode tab but showed the wrong information for the show.   Now I have the right show information but no episode tab.

Do the episodes show in the Web Client? Can you provide screenshots from the web client's view of the problematic series? Also can you provide a screenshot of the series metadata?

Thanks - I found out where I screwed up.  I went back to the top for metadata and selected refresh metatdata.   I thought when I was at the episode level that refresh metadata would grab the folder info but apparently I should have been doing it at the top level.
