Hello everyone,

I just got an Intel NUC, and just starting to set it up. I downloaded Ubuntu 17.04 off the Ubuntu webpage, to go ahead and install emby server on there. However I cannot find any instructions for the latest Ubuntu version?

In the instructions (https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3Aemby&package=emby-server) I can only find for xUbuntu - I figured those might be the same as normal ubuntu. But then the latest version I can find for is 16.10?

Should I just find verison 16.10 of Ubuntu or?

xUbuntu is the same as Ubuntu. You can try adding the repository for 16.10 and see if it installs.

Ok I will try that.

What about "Next"? What kind of Ubuntu version is that?

I've never noticed that before. Maybe that is what they are calling the most current release. As long as all the dependencies are being met it really shouldn't matter.

If you use a Media Center remote, it will not work with 17.04. Just a heads up.

Sent from my phone!

@@themimperials, were you able to use the 16.04 instructions?

Nope, it did not work unfortunately. But I had other issues with the NUC in Linux than just this, so I quickly wiped the machine and are going back to Windows 10.

I will give it another go when Intel fixes their Linux drivers for the Kaby Lakes.

Ubuntu 17.04 is now enable, Ubuntu_Next is always enabled too for anyone trying the latest release.
