OSD disappears even when pressing buttons

The OSD disappears as I am pressing fast forward and I have to move my mouse after every 3 seconds regardless if I am pressing a button.

 

Use case:

 

Sometimes while watching a live tv screen, I'll pause the stream. Then when I resume, I'll press fast forward to skip commercials.  Since the skip is 15 seconds, I'll press the fast forward/skip button, but after roughly 5 presses or so, the OSD disappears and I've got to squiggle the mouse around to get it to pop up.

 

I'm thinking a better scenario would be that the OSD disappears x time after the last interaction?

 

Thoughts? 

 

- edit - this is on Chrome on a Windows 10 desktop.
