Anyone have experience with an NVIDIA shield and HDHomerun?

Hiya - I've been looking for a good replacement for Windows Media Centre with Live TV.

 

Emby Theatre on Windows is a little too slow to change channels so I was wondering about people's experiences on the Shield?

HDHomeRun in Emby works well.

 

When you install the ATV app on the Shield, the guide will show the channels available via the tuners. From there you can watch Live TV or set up recordings.

 

I don't use Emby Theatre (ET) but the HDHomeRun tuners should work OK with that as well.

 

Any issues, post your Emby server and ET logs.

BUT lets not ignore the fact that changing channels in any client is not the fastest using Emby.

 

Hopefully there is room for improvement.  (Caching stream type for example - cutting down on probing)

 

AND give us the ability to enter channel by number.
