Nvidia shield tv issues..Help needed

I installed emby on my laptop pc and also on my nvidia shield tv. I have noticed that on the laptop I can see the dashboard which gives me access to live t.v but on the nvidia shield the dashboard is not displayed for me to have live t.v. please help. BTW, I bought the one time premier membership using the shield. Thanks

Have you set up Live TV in Emby?

 

Does it show in the web client?

I haven't set up live t.v yet. And when you say live Web client do you mean the emby on my laptop?. Is that to say I have to set up live t.v on my laptop before I can see it on my nvidia shield?

So you've added your M3U to Live TV, but have you added a Guide Provider, such as Schedules Direct, or XMLTV?

Live TV configuration is in the Emby server, under Live TV.

Once you've done that, then you can install the Emby app for your Shield:

Where can I find the XMLTV to install on emby?

I have uploaded the display I see on my shield. Is that what I should see after uploading my m3u playlist?...That looks different from what I have seen from others

Then for simplicity, I highly suggest using schedulesdirect. It is only $26 a year. Well worth it.

Thanks for all your help. I finally got it working with schedules direct. However, I noticed the guide for the channels doesn't show the programming info and the times. Can someone help with that? Thanks

hi @@kingsleyaddo, did you verify that the schedules direct lineup has your channels? You can do this in your account on the schedules direct website.

 

Can you also try refreshing the guide in the emby server dashboard, then attach the emby server log? you can learn how to do that here:
