instantsunrise 3 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 My emby server is currently set up to handle both library files and live tv via an OTA tuner (nextpvr). The way it goes is that I have MCEBuddy watching my recorded TV directory for any new shows, it transcodes it to h264 and edits out commercials and moves it to a downloaded items folder. Emby's auto-organize then grabs it and moves it into the library. To visualize now it's supposed to go: NextPVR/emby > Recordings Directory > MCEBuddy > Transcoded Files Working Directory > Emby Auto Organize > TV Library directory. I used to use Media Center Master to handle automatic organization, but it requires me to manually start it when the HTPC boots, so I've been looking into letting emby handle moving the files back into the library. Emby's auto-organization works fine for shows that already exist inside the library, but if I record a new show, it puts the transcoded file back into the recorded TV folder that MCEBuddy is watching, causing it to recursively transcode the episode. Is there a setting I'm missing where if emby's auto-organize can't find a series folder in the tv directory, to go ahead and create a folder instead of moving it back to the recordings directory? Thanks.
Luke 42080 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 @@instantsunrise, that's because the recorded tv folder is where the series is. i would suggest adding to your script to delete the series folder under recorded tv when moving it to the auto-organize folder.
