5 Star Rating for Music Tracks

Here is my use case for having 5 star ratings on songs.

 

I have over 7000 songs i need to manage.  I use itunes to help with metadata & folder/track naming (itunes points to a NAS drive).  

 

Some are full albums some are single tracks.   On the album, they sometimes put short intros, skits or really bad tracks,  I rate these 1 or 2 so I can filter out of playlists, but If I listen to the album I want to listen to them.

 

During the day,  I want to randomly play the good songs  (Rating 3 and above).  

 

On my mobile device I want to be able to sync the betters songs (4 and above).  

 

At parties I only want to play the best (5 stars).

 

I can't do this with Emby without a 5 start rating system.

but still need to read preference from id3 tag to emby during scan.
