IPTV and m3u8 files

Just wondering what i am doing wrong.

 

I added the IPTV Plugin. 

 

in url i added my m3u8 URL, chose HTTP.

 

When trying to play the file it never loads. It does however work in VLC.

 

here is the m3u 0 http://a.files.bbci.co.uk/media/live/manifesto/audio_video/simulcast/hls/uk/abr_hdtv/ak/bbc_one_hd.m3u8

This comes up when ffmpeg tries to download it:

That URL works for me in the UK in the IPTV Plugin/Video Bookmark section.

 

As this is an official bbc site, the 403 Forbidden could be a GEO Location block for you @@Luke.

 

@@Swynol where did you pick up that link?

im also in the UK. i found the link on github after googleing BBC IPTV. 

 

i can get it to work in VLC fine. what settings did you use in the plugin? also are you accessing it from your internal network?

Just put the whole link in the URL field, named it and saved.

 

Yes accessing from internal network.

 

Do you get an ffmpeg log when you try and play it?

 

If so post that log as it could be an ffmpeg version issue.
