JeremyFr79 228 Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 I have quite a few movies that I maintain both 1080p and 2160p files of the movie. I have them all setup per the instructions posted elsewhere i.e. Movie - Movie - 1080p.mkv Movie - 2160p.mkv etc. However I have one movie and only one that this is not producing the desired results. The movie in Question is Allied. It's setup like all others where I have multiple resolutions but it only reflects the 1080p copy and the 2160p copy is shown as an "additional part" I've tried everything and cannot get the server to show it correctly. As such my clients only see the 1080p copy as well. If I move the 1080p file out of the folder it properly recognizes the 2160p file. Let me know if you need any logs or anything and I'll happily post them.
Luke 42086 Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 Can we see the exact folder and file names? thanks.
JeremyFr79 228 Posted April 21, 2017 Author Posted April 21, 2017 (edited) Can we see the exact folder and file names? thanks. Sure, Folder is "Allied" File names are Allied - 1080p.mkk and Allied 2160p.mkv Edited April 21, 2017 by JeremyFr79
VladTepz 47 Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 Have you checked the metadata for your 2160p version in the metadata manager? Perhaps it has incorrect metadata since you say it's only happening in this one instance....
ebr 16199 Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 Is their anything different about how the ones that work properly are named? I'm wondering if "name - 1..." and "name - 2..." are being mis-interpreted as parts.

I'm wondering if "name - 1..." and "name - 2..." are being mis-interpreted as parts. They're all setup the same way. Here's an example of one that works fine. Also note these are all sitting on the same server I just screen snipped one directly on that server, and this one off my laptop, but the home paths are all the exact same. JeremyFr79 228 Posted April 21, 2017 Author Posted April 21, 2017 Is their anything different about how the ones that work properly are named? I'm wondering if "name - 1..." and "name - 2..." are being mis-interpreted as parts. So this got me wondering and I changed the naming to HD and UHD instead, and it's now working as expected. Still odd though that all my other multi res files are named the other way and it's working. This was also the recommended naming convention for multi res per an FAQ on this site that I found. But hey I can live with HD/UHD as well as long as it'll still pick the right file based on client capabilities/needs.
