Digital_Utopia 0 Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 I'm not sure if there's a timezone setting that is somehow interfering, but I'm getting weird date issues with the editor. if I set a date using the metadata editor - whether it be the editor itself, or using the "Edit Info" option, it will appear to be stored correctly. Subsequent editing will continue to show the correct date in the editor itself. However - the info displayed, as well as the date stored in the related .nfo file, will be one day earlier. I can get around this by manually editing the .nfo file, and refreshing - but any further edits using the in-app editor will reset it to the earlier date. Is there a setting I'm somehow unaware of, or is this just an odd bug?
Luke 42085 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 hi @@Digital_Utopia, what date value are you setting? thanks !
Digital_Utopia 0 Posted May 25, 2017 Author Posted May 25, 2017 It seems to be either date (Release date, or Date Added). for TV episodes. For example, If I go into Edit info for a TV show, and set the Release Date as so: The information is updated, and now displays as such: So, if I open up the .nfo file, and look for the <aired> element: It's apparent that, while Emby is certainly reading the date as it's stored in the .nfo file - the problem is that it's not writing the correct date. To further illustrate this, changing the date in the .nfo file to what it's supposed to be...and then refreshing the page, will result in it once again displaying correctly:But the only way to do this within Emby, would be setting the Release Date, for 10/08/2016 - one day later. Then it will write the "correct" date to the .nfo file, and thus read the correct date, but the metadata editor/"Edit Info" form will still show the Release date as 10/08/2016To me this seems like really odd behavior - as if Emby is sending the entered date through some kind of time zone, or other type of adjustment, instead of simply writing the data as it was entered into the form.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 (edited) Almost sounds like the time zone issue. But Emby displays any date I adjust it to via Metadata manager or if I manually edit nfo and run a library scan. Edited May 25, 2017 by Happy2Play
