Anti Virus for Emby Server - Windows 2012 R2

I am looking to get some AV for my Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials installation which runs my Emby server.

 

I run Avast (free) on all my PC's as this does what I need but it doesn't support the Server 2012 OS.

 

I don't mind paying for AV on my server as it's obviously far more important than the PC's!

 

Does anyone have any recommendations?

That's what I am currently running but I don't think it scans for viruses in real time does it? I know it covers malware, ransomware, web and exploits but it also recommends you run an AV scanner along side it.

You can install MS Security Essentials and it will run on Server OS

Outside of MSSE you'll be stuck paying for something as vendors figure you got the money to pay for a server OS you got the money to pay for AV protection.

Yeah I thought about msse but have read its not very effective anymore.

 

I don't mind paying but didn't really know which one to plum for.

I've always run MSSE and had no issues, but I also don't go around to sites I don't know or trust either.  Sadly these day's most AV solutions are piss poor with the onslaught of viral and malware crap that gets released on a nearly hourly basis.

Another using MSSE and Malwarebytes Premium. I also have uBlock Origin installed in Chrome on all machines and Flash is disabled.
