Hi, I'm experiencing some playback issues with recent beta versions. I tested from iPhone and IPad only. I upgraded my server version today with the last one (.11) and the playback stops every several seconds. I tested locally and outside. Does anyone else experiencing the same problems? I will provide logs soon and I will test more with Emby Theatre and Android app...

Having the exact same issue on latest beta and .11 :(

See the same issue on the FireTV but I think is is localized to when the server is scanning (my files on on several NASs and other PCs so I was thinking it is a CPU / Network issue.

Also, I noticed since .11 that the organize function no longer works but I am still testing.

No its not linked, just launch a playback when the library is not scanning. You will see that it stutter, stoping every x seconds, even if you force transco to 240p...

Ok for the scan I think it's just a coincidence with themoviedb big load... actually in the log there is around one minute between two calls to API.themovidb... so I guess servers are highly in demand right now... no particular errors, excepting fanart exceptions when it doesn't find something for the movie he's looking for... @@Luke : did you change something in the ffprobe commands, which could take longer than usual?

With me the stuttering started with the beta 3.2.10.6 on 2 out of 3 iPads. This happened in the app and playing through the webpage in both Chrome and Safari.

With 3.2.10.7 I started noticing it on the ATV and the 3rd iPad (After both had had a reboot). Oh, just FYI, series episodes started running till the end on version 3.2.10.6 and didn't break off on the ATV anymore.

Also, since 3.2.9, it seems that the ffprobe takes a lot longer to execute on new series episodes when performing a library scan. For some reason it takes about 8min per episode to complete, while the CPU usage is less than 10% for the process.

Thx for your testimony. I also observed that from the 3.2.9 ffprobe takes longer but in my case the CPU is used at the maximum by Emby (87% in my case) and my pc is just freezing because it can't do anything else...

It seems 3.2.12.0 resolves this. I currently have no stuttering issues with either iPads nor ATV. Still testing if episodes break off though.

@@Dibbes : can you try again the ffprobe part with the .12 and check if the scan is long or not please?

I think you're looking for a problem that isn't there.

@@jscoys I updated to the latest ffmpeg/ffprobe version and all seems to be running the way it should at this time. I'll need some time to check, but won't be able to do so till mid next week when the next larger bunch of episodes comes out.

Ok thx a lot my friend ;-) as soon as I have new content in my Emby (movies or tv series) I will try to "benchmark" the time it takes to crawl it.

@jscoys Checked today. I didn't see any issues with ffprobe anymore. All went through quite rapidly.

Hello all! I've got the problem today with the beta 3.2.13.5. I opened a new post there :
Pc totally hanging with 3.2.13.5

https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_fid=77624&share_tid=47170&url=https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/47170-Pc-totally-hanging-with-3%2E2%2E13%2E5&share_type=t

Could you test again with it and post on the link above in order to help @@Luke to resolve this issue? Thx a lot!
