Fanart that is useable for within Kodi

I'm using the Emby addon for Kodi and in Kodi other fanart is being used than the standard backdrop, backdrop1 etc. that is downloaded and named by the Emby metadata.

To get backdrops rotating every few seconds it needs to be in a folder called extrafanart. Some of my series folders have such folders but not all of them and most are not filled with images.

Is there a way to make Emby download the backdrops to the standard place it is downloading it now and copy or download it also to the extrafanart folder in that series folder?

Or is there another way to get extrafanart for every serie in my library?

Kodi uses just the Fanart.jpg and / or the folder "extrafanart". Fanart, Fanart1 etc. doesn't work

Thanks.

For one of these series, try manually deleting the existing images, then do a refresh from the detail screen of the web app.

This doesn't help. All the same images are downloaded that II just deleted. No change there and no visable change in Kodi.

@@heula i have a feeling at some point you may have customized your server config file, probably at the suggestion of a community member. so find the system.xml file, locate the node, and if it is set to Legacy, then shut down the server and just delete the whole line from the xml file.

@@heula i have a feeling at some point you may have customized your server config file, probably at the suggestion of a community member. so find the system.xml file, locate the <ImageSavingConvention> node, and if it is set to Legacy, then shut down the server and just delete the whole line from the xml file.

The line in the system.xml is normal to what you say.

<ImageSavingConvention>Legacy</ImageSavingConvention>

Anything else I can check?

Edit. I forget to remove the line. Now the folder extrafanart and extrathumbs are downloaded.

Thanks.
