zrene 0 Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Hi, I'm fairly new to the emby platform coming from the "Plex" universe. I still have not figured out if it is possible to skin/theme the current emby Tizen app. Als how to control things such as subtitles font and color? Appreciate any help or guidance...
FrostByte 5392 Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 There is a link at the bottom of the latest announcement, but I haven't looked into it myself https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/46244-emby-for-samsung-tizen-smart-tvs-1022-released/&do=findComment&comment=435036
zrene 0 Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 Thanks but I'm wondering if there are already any skins available, also I hate the black background around the fonts if anybody knows how to change that...
Luke 42077 Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Hi, what do you mean exactly by "black background around the fonts" ? Thanks !
zrene 0 Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 Hi, what do you mean exactly by "black background around the fonts" ? Thanks ! What I ment was for subtitles, they appear as light colored with dark background. I prefer simple white subtitles with no background.
Luke 42077 Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 We plan to add subtitle style settings in a future update. 1
Baloralys 1 Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 (edited) Would it be possible to create an own Skin and use it in Tizen App? Edited June 25, 2017 by Baloralys
Cornadius 2 Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Yes certainly. Have you created a skin? We are going to create a skin but how we can install the skin in the tizen app?
Luke 42077 Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 You can't because we have disabled the feature for the tizen distribution. You can design and develop your skin as documented using the Chrome browser. If you get your skin developed in the browser to the point where it's ready to test on tizen, then we'll commit to doing the work to get the installation feature added to the app. It is not there right now because anything we put in the UI will be tested by Samsung. It's not worth the work for us until there is actually a skin being developed for the platform. Thanks.

So we first develop a skin, test this in the browser and tell you modestly the skin is finished, that it is implemented in tizen?

What you can do is start building a skin and keep the community informed of your progress by opening a topic about it. That will allow community members to install the skin in the web version, windows version, etc. You don't have to complete it, but once we see that your skin is real and is actively being developed, then we will commit to doing the work to add support in tizen. 1
