HomeDope 0 Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 (edited) Hi all, I have Intel N2807 box lying around collecting dust. Could this be used as Emby server? I have plan using Emby to stream x264 1080p and x265 1080p. Is this even possible with this old box? Thanks. Btw, awesome work all you guys! P.S Regarding Emby Connect? Where are the credentials stored? In Embys servers or :S? And how secure it is ~HomeDope Edited April 5, 2017 by HomeDope
Luke 42086 Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 If you're primarily streaming without transcoding it should be fine. It may be able to handle some occasional (but light) transcoding duties.

Guest asrequested Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 If your network bandwidth is less than the movie's, then the server will transcode.
