NomadCF 15 Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 When changing the "Metadata path" under Library Settings, Advanced. It does not correct or change any of the paths for the existing content.
Luke 42085 Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Hi, the change is applied to new metadata saved going forward.
NomadCF 15 Posted April 3, 2017 Author Posted April 3, 2017 Hi, the change is applied to new metadata saved going forward. Never said it didn't. I was lodging a bug on the fact that existing data is not updated to reflect the change.
Solution Luke 42085 Posted April 3, 2017 Solution Posted April 3, 2017 Right I mean this is by design. We don't move the files from the old location as this is a process that could fail and then we have to react and respond to the failure. The help text under the field says: Changing this will apply to new metadata saved going forward. Existing metadata files will be updated the next time they are saved by Emby Server. 1
NomadCF 15 Posted April 3, 2017 Author Posted April 3, 2017 No one ever said anything about moving files. Just for the existing paths in the DB be updated to the new path. Either way the system at some point will need to check if these paths are valid and remove the invalid paths. The system might as well update the existing paths in the event an admin simple moved the existing directories & files to the new location.
NomadCF 15 Posted April 3, 2017 Author Posted April 3, 2017 Running a " library scan " does not fix the issue as the errors "ImageMagickSharp.WandException: UnableToOpenBlob `/storage/emby/metadata/metadata/library/47/471a1995eb990ed918b7bf13a551909b/chapters/634260297120000000_0.jpg': No such file or directory" show that even after a " library scan " the metadata DB is still incorrect.
Luke 42085 Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 It does, but chapters are handled by the chapters scheduled task.
