GhostRider 49 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 (edited) Hi I just added six new movies to my movie collection and ran "Scan media library" from Scheduled Tasks. Five of the new films appeared in Latest List but one did not. I then ran Radeon's tools "Download Local Movie Theme Songs" and "Download local Movie Theme Vidoes". May be just chance but these tools also did not download anything for the movie not in the Latest List. However, the movie is present in the full Movie tab. I have checked the date on the movie file and it is newer than the oldest seen in the Latest List. Running Emby V 3.2.10.0 on Windows 10. Any thoughts why this one movie would not show up in the Latest List? Edited April 2, 2017 by GhostRider
ebr 16185 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Is it marked watched? Is its rating higher than any limit set for the user in question?
GhostRider 49 Posted April 2, 2017 Author Posted April 2, 2017 Hi Ebr, Just checked the .nfo file and it has "watched" as false. User account has full Ibrary access (in fact I have never chnaged any of the Access or Parental Control settings). I tried a refresh on the "missing movie" followed by a new library scan and the movie is still missing from the Latest List. Any other suggestions please?
ebr 16185 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Watched status is not stored in the nfo file. When you look at the item in the web app, is the watched check red?
GhostRider 49 Posted April 2, 2017 Author Posted April 2, 2017 (edited) Hi Ebr, No, on the web app it is not marked as watched. I tried the brute force approach: deleted the whole folder, ran Scan Media Library, movie disappears in main movies tab. Copy folder back, ran Scan Media Library again, get system notification that new movie added, movie is still missing from the Latest List but appears in the main movies tab. I looked carefully at the date and it says added 01/01/2001 which is explains why it is not the recent files list. But this is a 2016 film and the file is dated 21st March 2017. GhostRider 49 Posted April 2, 2017 Author Posted April 2, 2017 Fixed it using this method: Delete whole folder and run Scan Media Library to remove from database Copy folder back Edit .nfo file and changed date of <dateadded> to today run Scan Media Library again Movie now appears in Latest List No idea how the new movie got marked as added 01/01/2001 but at least I am now working OK.
ebr 16185 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 If there was an NFO file with an existing date added value, that was the problem. We were obeying the information we were told .
CharleyVarrick 283 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 In other words, next time you got a similar situation, just delete the nfo. it'll force emby to re-detect the media item
Luke 42081 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Yes the system did exactly what you asked it to do by reading the nfo that you supplied with the new video. 1
AjAxX 1 Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 I am having the same problem. But with differences. I have a movie i just added, it isnt showing as watched, there is no red tick/green tick etc. NFO shows as added today, a few minuets ago actually. I have tried deleting the NFO and scanning again, i have removed it completely from the list and scanned again, then added it back again and let it get its NFO re-added. Issue still remains.

AjAxX 1 Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 If you "Edit Info" on the item, what does the date added show? it shows the date i edited it. As in, i just did it, and it now shows today's date etc. cheers for the response, i appreciate it.
ebr 16185 Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Where, exactly, is it not showing up? If you go into the library that contains it and sort it by date added, where is it? 1
AjAxX 1 Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Its not showing up in Recently added movies. I sorted the library and it shows today's date as added.
Solution AjAxX 1 Posted August 8, 2018 Solution Posted August 8, 2018 Actually, i just figured it out, i am so sorry for the drama, i am a noob at this tbh and realized that it wont show in recent movies added, because its in a separate collection that is not linked to the movies folder. Again, my apologies for the drama. cheers for all the help. 1
