lja 51 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Received this error when starting Serverwmc. WMC setup and live tv works there. Serverwmc on same PC with Media Center. MB3 Server on separate PC. Please confirm what logs would be required. Thanks. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19298307/swmc.JPG
krustyreturns 191 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Sorry about that. Please post a link to the serverwmc's log. Go swmc, 'debug' tab to find it.
blade005 185 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Krusty, Getting same error as lja after a PC system reboot. Initial install of version 1123 seemed to be successful, but after a PC hard reboot, I am getting the input folder does not exist error. Falling back to version 1118 removes the error and runs just fine. 1
lja 51 Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 Sorry about that. Please post a link to the serverwmc's log. Go swmc, 'debug' tab to find it. Could not access debug so based on blade005's comment uninstalled 1123 and reinstalled 1118. It then worked. Will try 1123 again and see what happens.

I see in the log that a change from 1118 to 1123 was in the Temp folder name from TempXBMC to TempSWMC, but the new folder name was in the same location, but still got the input folder error upon startup with version 1123. Thankfully, version 1118 is still working.
krustyreturns 191 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Sorry, since you can't start swmc, you need to find the log here: %programdata%VDsoftware\ServerWMC\ServerWMC.log if one of you are willing, start the new version, after you get the folder error post a link to the log above.

lja 51 Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 @ krustyreturns: Here is my log after install of 1123: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19298307/ServerWMC.log
krustyreturns 191 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) I'm confused, there is no error in either log. It says all the folders were found and fine. Maybe post a screenshot of the error? Edited February 10, 2014 by krustyreturns

Krusty, Investigated a little further and may have discovered my issue. I have watched Recorded TV folders across multiple machines. Most are up and running 24/7, except for one machine with a watched folder that sleeps unless recording. I must have initially installed 1123 when it was awake, but after a reboot and restart of ServerWMC and the 'other' machine asleep, I was getting the input folder error. I just 'woke' this machine up and version 1123 installed and is running just fine. Didn't see this issue with version 1118. Any chance we can get ServerWMC to skip past watched folders that may be unavailable without failing in future release?
krustyreturns 191 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) Oh yeah, right. I think I see my mistake. Do you guys possibly have watched folders set in wmc that don't exist anymore? I usually just use regedit to check: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\Recording\WatchedFolders or you can go through all the menus in wmc. Edit: blade005 our posts crossed in the ether. Yeah, its a mistake on my side. I will fix and put up a new rev. I'll let you know when its up. Edited February 10, 2014 by krustyreturns

Can manage my one machine that sleeps until next rev is out. Thanks for being so responsive and your contribution to the Media Browser experience. Cheers.
