eballweg 0 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Please help me overcome the following items, so I can migrate my libraries from Plex. Sign-in link on emby.media to apps.emby.media goes to the unencrypted version of the site to log-in to your account I cannot log-in to my server with Chrome are there is some kind of HSTS error due to an invalid cert In Firefox, I must log-in directly to my server before I can use apps.emby.media I keep multiple copies of videos in my library at different bit-rates to cut down on on-the-fly transcoding and these are not combining into the same library item. They were created using the Plex optimizer Also, I would like a version of the Plex optimizer. Until that happens, I will keep Plex running in the background to create these copies.
Luke 42083 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Hi, for the first one, yes that is true, but you can simply change the url to the https version: https://app.emby.media We do support multi-resolution videos, with a required naming convention. You can learn more about that on our wiki: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Movie%20naming
Luke 42083 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 In Firefox, I must log-in directly to my server before I can use apps.emby.media The reason for this is because the browser is rejecting the SSL cert. So you need to visit your URL directly to approve the cert, then app.emby.media will work. Alternatively you can add your own trusted cert via something like LetsEncrypt and it will probably resolve your Chrome SSL issue as well.
