T800 10 Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 I have Kodi with Emby plugin set up on my main NUC HTPC downstairs and in the Master Bedroom on a FireTV. On the HTPC, the amount of Movies are either on 4120 or on 3822 The one in the bedroom says 4120 Movies all the time. When I scan my Movie library using Kodi by itself it says I have 4120 In the Emby browser it says I have 3487 Movies. Does that not include whatever is in boxsets? I have 287 Boxsets, there could easily be 632 movies in there. Can anyone tell me why or where I start to look to work out where 300ish movies go on the main HTPC please? When I do a "Repair local database (force update all content) it says "Processing Movies / 4120. At some point tomorrow I will be looking at a figure of 3822ish
T800 10 Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 I ended up removing the database folder manually and now it's been fine for two days.
T800 10 Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 It's done it again. It's been around 4126 Movies for the last 3 days and now it's 3850 something. It's done it since last night and the library wasn't cleaned for the last 3 days. A library update was done 7 hours ago. I went to do a Repair local database and this time it's reporting 3850. Emby is reporting 3262 right now so that's down too.....I guess this means it's a Emby Server issue and not a Kodi/Plugin issue.
Luke 42077 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 In the web browser the count under the movies tab is the count of the number of items in the list you are looking at. So maybe there is no issue here?
T800 10 Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 I think the library is just missing all Movies from folder "0-9" and "A"
T800 10 Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 The movies are definitely missing. Now I've got Pushover set up I'm getting a stream of notifications adding the movies back in that I've never noticed before.
Luke 42077 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Maybe a library scan ran while the movies were offline?
T800 10 Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 Some are part of Boxsets some aren't. Avengers is, 10,000 B.C isn't.
T800 10 Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 (edited) All movies are on my unRAID server and it's always the same amount that are missing. If my server isn't on or the drive is not mounted on the Emby server the movie library ends up empty. Edited March 31, 2017 by T800
Luke 42077 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Try adjusting the schedule of the server library scan to better fit your drive availability.

T800 10 Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 Try adjusting the schedule of the server library scan to better fit your drive availability. Is it possible that by the time the drives have spun up it's got rid of 300 movies?
T800 10 Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 Now I think about it, I didn't add any movies today but I have every other day. So most likely it was idle.
T800 10 Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 Guess I have to find a way for all drives to be singing and dancing when the scan is done.
