Server Crashing

Hi Guys

 

Everything has been working well till now using Emby Server & WMC.  Only issue I had was the my movie collections (which I have saved as all movies for that series together in 1 folder) were not showing as collections in WMC.  When I looked into it further, I found that the Metadata for every collection had been saved in appdata/roaming/mediabrowserserver/data/collections but was not coming up in WMC.

 

When I had this problem in the past, I copied all the metadata for a particular collection from this folder & copied it to the folder where all the movies were saved.  Since this seemed to work last time, I tried the same process again.  Problem I have now is after re-scanning my Library from the Server, it closes or crashes.  If I try to look at my library through the web interface, it just shows as loading but does not load anything until I eventually close the webpage which in turn causes Emby Server to shutdown. 

 

I have uninstalled the server (without removing any cache) & reinstalled it with no avail.  

 

I have attached 3 most recent system logs.

 

If manually copying the collection Metadata into the folder where the movies are saved has caused this problem, would simply going back & deleting it all fix the issue.

Hi, can you please try going to this folder:

C:\Users\HTPC\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\plugins

Remove the plugin .dll files and then start the server back up. Let us know if the issue persists. Thanks !

Hi Luke

 

Still having issues but I am now able to do a full re-scan of my library.  I can also go into my created Media Library's from the Web Interface & can play everything. However if I click on the "Folders" option, nothing loads & I have to close the browser which causes the Server to close.  (Screen shot attached)

 

If I load the Server & open WMC I can get to my WMC home screen which shows my Main Folders (Movies, New Movies & TV Shows).  If I try to click on one of these I get an Invalid Application, Unable to launch "emby" error code & the Server shuts down.

Logs from testing this afternoon.

 

Firstly I started the server & tried to use WMC.  Invalid Application Error

 

Secondly I tried to access my folders via the Web Interface.  Does not load.

can you explain exactly what folders you copied in first post? and yes, did you try undoing that?

I removed all collection.xml files.  Seems to have fixed the issue.
