scoted74 1 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 I have uninstalled reinstalled twice and performed a system restore. Running Windows 8.1. I am not receiving any error messages. app-update.log server-63625219200.txt server-63625305600.txt server-63625392000.txt server-63625478400.txt server-63625564800.txt server-63625566018.txt server-63625823486.txt server-63625942983.txt server-63625943483.txt server-63625943521.txt server-63625943842.txt server-63625943855.txt server-63625944060.txt server-63625944294.txt server-63625944408.txt server-63625944494.txt server-63625944711.txt server-63625945332.txt server-63625945334.txt server-63625945415.txt server-63625946142.txt server-63625946405.txt server-63625946746.txt server-63625946776.txt server-63625947008.txt server-63625947089.txt server-63625947310.txt server-63625947667.txt server-63625947909.txt server-63625947910.txt server-63625952977.txt server-install.log server-update.log
Luke 42085 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Hi, try running the .net 4.62 installer and see if that helps: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344
scoted74 1 Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) Downloading and installing now. Edited March 24, 2017 by scoted74
scoted74 1 Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 This is the error I get when trying to install. ".NET Framework 4.6.2 or a later update is already installed on this computer."
Luke 42085 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 I would try checking windows update and making sure the system is up to date.
scoted74 1 Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 It's just missing the March patches. Updating now.
scoted74 1 Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 Updating Windows didn't solve the issue.
scoted74 1 Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 I uninstalled it and deleted all files and folders related to Emby as well as app data folders then reinstalled. Still nothing. It look like it wants to start.
Luke 42085 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Yea unfortunately I'm not quite sure what's going on there. I would honestly suggest checking for possible hardware failures. If you have anti-virus installed, make sure the anti-virus software did not tamper with the contents of the installation folder. We have seen a couple cases of that in the past. If none of that helps you can also try the portable version that is on the website download page as well.
scoted74 1 Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 I am just using Windows defender. I will try the portable.
