Can premier features work in offline setting

I'm trying to test a setup for use in the woods far away from internet.

 

While testing today, the server key was shown as invalid while using it on an offline network. And the other desktops couldn't see the server, asking if I had premier or if the server is able to connect with internet.

 

After reading a few articles here, I understand y'all may be making sure someone doesn't just pay for one month (on a subscription plan) then take the whole system offline or that they hack it somehow and y'all never have a chance to look at the program again to assure its authenticity.

 

Is this what's happening ? I'm very new to this and hope to use an emby server to send 3-5 videos to pcs and reaspberry 3b around a campsite, which will run 6-10 projectors.

 

And this is far from internet access.

 

I understand the emby theater for raspberry pi is new. And this is all a work in progress. And thank you for the very active forum.
