Watch Status not Saved

Alright. I've been finding this all over the place, but it's from last year and earlier. All of a sudden, Emby no longer acknowledges the fact that I have watched a video. I have to manually tell it which videos I have to watch. I have not changed any settings since I installed Emby and configured it. There was a recent update, but it was still saving the watch status until the other day. Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong? It would be nice to have Emby working properly again.

Hi there, we're sorry to hear about this. Can you please discuss a specific example and give us all of the details from start to finish? Thanks !

Alright. A few days ago, my father and I had just gotten done watching Lois and Clark for about 3 episodes... Season 1 Episodes 19-21. When we came back to pick up yesterday where we had left off, it said that we were still on S1E18. And I had also gotten done watching an episode of Enterprise the other day that it never recorded. Unfortunately, I can't get much more detailed than that. I'm sorry.

What client are you using to play these episodes?

And you are logging into the same user each time, correct...?

Just wanted to confirm because you said you and your father.  If you happened to be logging in as different people for each session, that could explain the erratic behavior.

Ebr, you are totally correct, but I have only the one account set up as this is an internal server so that we don't have to rely upon the Windows SMB networking protocols directly. And as for the client, H2P, I am using just the standard web client, no actual clients yet. Can't afford to get the lifetime license for Emby just yet. :(

In server metadata settings did you enable syncing watch data to nfo files?
