No goods/services  (if no goods or services [ie: downloadable goods, recording interfaces, etc...], there's no promotion)

No advertising  (if no advertising, there's no promotion)

No subscription  (if no subscribing, there's no promotion)

No consent  (if no consent, there's no promotion)

For Streamers:

Stream -> Clip[]

Strbuf[] -> Rambuf[]

No full length reproductions

No downloading

No recording

No distribution

Only stream clips.  Stream from ram sequentially.

I would have said spam if there was a link, but I'm thinking he was just lost or highly confused

Okay, so it starts weird:

https://github.com/jv1597

Its some idea for a content markup language extension existing only as vaporware, aka an idea..

Then see here how it evolves into a crazy idea to make another standard for html:

http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?359299-Content-Markup-Language/page2

The OP and this person are the same. Is this another crazy idea to stop piracy?

Then it looks like it is, why have an edisonnation account? At least this gives a name we can use:

https://www.edisonnation.com/users/jv1597

Jacob, do you have any follow up to add to your post?

Wow, how'd you find so much on me?  CML was something I was trying to get started, turns out it's too much for now.

Just thought the anti-promotion tips might give everyone a heads up on their options.

Where is there piracy being promoted? Maybe thats where you should focus your energy when posts appear that seem to condone piracy. Not make an entire thread devoted to it.

By making a generic post as if Emby is infringing is ludicrous. Hence the lol and blank stare wtf gif posts. Emby is as much piracy as utorrent is, even google.com is.

To make a point how to stop piracy, invariably leads to promoting it by mere mention of it. So in essense, save your breath for the right post and go after the offender. Have a nice day.

Also, as for how, just google "jv1597" and look at the first couple results. It wasnt something hard to do to find the info. I was just paraphrase what I found because you had 1 post count. 99% of the time a weird post from a person with 1 post count means spam/clickbait/highersearchranking/phishing/etc.

speechless,

Piracy is promoted by advertising pirated goods, and services.

IE: 'Come here to find all of the movies you want to watch for free!' / 'Kong: Skull Island Free Download' / etc...

It wasn't directed at embry.

Touchy subject, but not that scary.

<SITE REMOVED> is a great place for piracy. Piracy does take from some to be sure but overall it helps to contribute to the greater economy.

Good tips, and thanks for the great info...  You should probably go to the site in the previous post or piratebay to spread the good word.  Preaching to the choir here...   :)
