maisto99 0 Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Some of the CDs in my collection had questionable meta data, but the actual file names were correct and are like the following example: "F:\Media\Music\White Zombie\Astro-Creep- 2000\05 Electric Head- The Ecstasy (Pt. 2).mp3" To correct the questionable meta data I've been using Emby's 'Identify' feature. Making sure to use the correct 'release id', that I've manually selected from MusicBrainz, and allowing it to update everything including the images. Most of the time it works as expected, but I've had some rather interesting results other times. For example I have the CD Astro-Creep: 2000 from White Zombie. I used release id e2d5e66f-18a7-4ea1-b9e3-833ed93e3f8e to update the meta data for the album but I got a result I didn't expect. It titled the CD "Kicking in Heaven's Door", and created two number "2" & "5" tracks, see attachment. It does makes sense as to why this happens. The release id page in MusicBrainz lists everything correctly but it does finish that way. Any help is much appreciated! Log.txt
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 For music your best bet is to put the correct info in the tags in the file using a tag editor. That's the primary source of identification data for music.
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I would use MusicBrainz Picard app (just updated recently) to update the metadata for your problem albums or do the lot as emby then plays nice
Luke 42080 Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 have you checked the disc numbers embedded in your audio files? that is probably why you are seeing the Disc 1 and Disc 2 sections. I assume that's what you're asking about?
