Any possibility to extract closed captioning while recording with HDHomeRun?

I've seen the CCExtractor tools available on the web, but since I don't have access to the command line when the recording takes place - it seems like it's a more server oriented service since the server starts the recording.  Would it be possible (or is it already possible) to extract closed captioning for recorded TV shows?  Save them as an SRT perhaps?

Well if anything we would just save them as part of the video container.

But if they aren't external, then there is the PCM audio translation when the app tries to use vlc to direct play and all that jazz... external seems to be the way to go to get the best audio and video... *shrugs*

Not if they are text subs.  We can handle those fine inside the video container.

Universal closed caption support is coming:
