Another, metadata not updating issue

Emby server

Version 3.2.7.0

Running on Windows 7 Ultimate Pro

• All libraries configured to Download from internet
• Save artwork etc to media folders
• enabled for real time monitoring

I did some house keeping on music in my library to get rid of duplicate entries which were there mostly due to typo's. However once corrected no matter how I try the library still shows the duplicates. It does appear that some data is being updated.

 

Any suggestions pls?

Deliberately didn't post any logs in case you want to capture log info whilst doing something specific.

A bit of a delay posting logs sorry.

 

I have also noticed that Emby and Emby theater don't display the same content for the same selection.

After correcting double entry's for things such as missing letter in artist name etc Emby doesn't remove from DB, I'm guessing, as they still display in output as show in above images.

 

For example,

• S.I.A
• Sammy Davis Jnr.
• Sagitaire

@@berrick How exactly did you perform that correction?

The corrections were made outside of Emby.

 

I browsed to the relevant file and either renamed the filename and or edited the tags as necessary.

Ok yes in that case there are some improvements that need to be made to our cleanup of obsolete artist entries. thanks.
