Starlionblue 82 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 When trying to organize a new show, I got all reds. "Manually" inputting the show for a specific episode gave me: Error Organizing File There was an error organizing the file. Error code: null. I performed quite a bit of troubleshooting before hitting on what I should have done from the start: Check the log file. System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.Exception: No provider metadata found Mystery solved. The provider seems to be down at the moment. I understand that in this case the problem is hardly Emby's fault, but perhaps the error message could be more helpful? At the very least a link to the log file, perhaps even the location in the log file at the specific time. Or a link that says "view complete error message". This might save a lot of hassle.
Starlionblue 82 Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 Questions related to this. If thetvdb is down (like now), it seems auto-organise will not work. However the ID from themoviedb is also specified for the show in Metadata Manager. Should this not allow Emby to identify the episodes? How can I find the tv.com and zap2id IDs for a TV show?

You would need to have MovieDb metadata downloading enabled for series and episodes. We turn it off by default because it will cause library scans to take longer. 1
Luke 42080 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 How can I find the tv.com and zap2id IDs for a TV show? I don't really know. We don't do much with the data other than display a link. 1
moviefan 187 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 (edited) Trying to organize files for the tv series Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Doesn't work automatically. When I manually select the series I get the following error: @@moviefan Edited March 14, 2017 by moviefan
moviefan 187 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 The thing that's weird is that TV shows which are already in my collection organize fine. Just not this new one which I tried to add. 1
