Emby with Vu+

Hi guys,

 

why emby planned a record, but do nothing?

i'm using v+ solo2 and all going fine, but the records never show and nothing are in the record path.

 

The Server logs only show this message:

The last line seems to be important but i don't know.

Or is this the try to get recordings from the vu+??

Hi, if you are using vu+ then emby does not record - vu+ is responsible for the recording process.

What does emby, if i press record on a channel?

 

the same as i do it on IPTV?

 

if yes, why don't work with vu+?

 

and

 

if not, it's annoying to hear, that i must use a gathered single hdd in the vu+ instead the big raid from the server where emby runs...

it's planned any solution for this worst-case?

Has the vu+ plugin added support for recordings? It is a community plugin. I do not know the answer.

Therefore i ask you, how this record process works.

 

Many questions i have can be answered by myself if i know, how it works.

The answer is clear, if the process grabs a file and transform it. 

The answer is clear, if the process make a "screen copy" like bandicam on windows...

If you are using our built-in Live TV then we record the stream from the tuner to a file.

 

If you are using a Live TV plug-in then we are just interfacing with whatever service that plug-in is for and all recording is being handled by that other service.

it's possible, that a recorded stream file on the vu+ converted and safe to the emby storage?

 

This function seems are not working with a plugin. It's true?

The function called "Automatically convert recordings to a streaming friendly format"

 

Or how must i understand this option?

This feature is only used with the built in live tv, not with Vu+.
